Please join us for a retirement reception honoring Rich Anderson

Friday, Aug. 7, 2026

2:00 - 3:30 p.m.

with recognition at 2:30 p.m.

Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension & Education Center
August N. Christenson Building
1071 County Road G, Ithaca, NE 68033

Rich has a long history working with ARDC/ENREEC. Rich got his start helping his dad move irrigation pipe at the center on weekends in 1978, then working summers with the electricians and carpenters, and participating in the Youth Conservation Corps program. And this was all before he “officially” started full-time in 1981 as a Maintenance Mechanic. He moved on to become lead carpenter in the mid-90s and has been the Facilities Trades Supervisor since 2002. Rich has been instrumental in a wide range of projects, no matter the size, contributing to the center's seamless operation and reputation as a world-class facility. Please join us in celebrating Rich and extending our best wishes for his next journey: retirement!

If you have photos of Rich you would like to share, please email them to dpittman1@unl.edu prior to the reception.

Cards and hard copies of congratulatory notes and letters can be dropped off at Carmel Most’s desk, mailed to University of Nebraska ENREEC, 1071 County Road G, Ithaca, NE 68033, or brought to the reception.
